Stephanie Gaydosh - General Manager

My name is Stephanie and I’m very excited that you’re here checking out CrossFit for Glory! My health and fitness journey began many years ago as a young athlete. My background in sports growing up included gymnastics, dance, cheerleading, basketball, volleyball, softball, flag football and track. My father was in the Army, so that’s what brought us here to the FishHawk area in 2003. I was in the first graduating class at Newsome high school, which was such a wonderful environment that nurtured my love for sports and community.I attended Florida State University where I earned a degree in Early Childhood Education.

This lead to a nine year teaching career, where I taught 2nd grade for 3 years then 6 years at the high school level. While teaching Health and Physical Education at Newsome, I found a passion for coaching team sports as the Assistant Volleyball Coach and Head Flag Football coach. During that time I became an active member of CrossFit For Glory and the doors of opportunity opened. I became a CrossFit L1 coach, facilitated effective strength and conditioning programs, competed in local CrossFit competitions and then weightlifting at the local and state level. I held the position of Head Coach prior to becoming the General Manager and Nutrition Coach.

My personal life has been greatly enriched by CrossFit for Glory as well. I met my husband in 2014 at the gym and have made long lasting friendships. We welcomed our first daughter to the world in August of 2019 and I can honestly say that I felt loved and supported my entire pregnancy and now as a new mom.

Marc Zatkiewicz-Head Coach

Hey everyone! I’m Marc Zatkiewicz, but everyone calls me Marc Z. I’m the Head Coach and a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer here at CrossFit for Glory. I graduated from the University of South Florida in May of 2019 with a degree in Exercise Science.

My story is a bit different in that I never played any competitive sports growing up. It wasn’t until the summer of 2012 when a friend of mine approached me and convinced me to purchase a membership at the local 24-hour gym in the area. I stayed consistent at the 24-hour gym until CrossFit entered my life.
My mom had been a member of CrossFit For Glory for a few months before the October of 2013 when she finally convinced me to try a class out. The old location was in a warehouse that didn’t have any A/C, and I remember the humidity bogging me down during my first class…and I loved it. I loved getting my butt kicked. I was immediately hooked. I officially began at CFG in December of 2013.

After graduating high school in 2015, I went to the University of Central Florida for a year before I decided to come back home and pursue coaching at CrossFit For Glory while continuing my education at USF. I received my Level 1 Certificate in June of 2016 and began coaching the next October, three years after I had first tried CrossFit. Above all, coaching, along with being a member at CFG, has allowed me to hone my public speaking skills and form relationships with people who I can confidently call my best friends and family. I’ve truly found a passion in teaching others and helping people reach goals they had previously thought were impossible.

Coaching CFG members allows me to purse my passions; I am able to champion along- side fellow members to assist them in achieving their goals and it allows me to feed my fitness passion. I love helping others surpass their goals! Margaret Clark- Coach

My interest in sports and fitness began when I was young and continued on into middle and high school where I played basketball for my high school team. I received my degree from the College of Charleston, worked for Delta Airlines for 10 years and became a military spouse and a mother of two girls who both are competitive gymnasts. Many years were spent moving and traveling but through all the changes in my life, I have always been able to take my love of fitness with me.

It was in Newport, RI in 2009 where I discovered my love for CrossFit. I had always been active. I enjoyed running and lifting, but CrossFit gave me the intensity in my workouts, friendly competition and camaraderie I missed from playing team sports. I was drawn to the high intensity, and diversity of the workouts. I moved to Tampa in 2010 where my passion for CrossFit and interest in helping others achieve their fitness goals led me to getting my CrossFit Level 1 certification in 2012.

I spent 2 years coaching CrossFit classes and in the fall of 2014 joined CrossFit For Glory. In addition to my CrossFit level 2 certification I also hold a USA Weightlifting coaches certification as well as the Crossfit gymnastics trainer certification. Besides coaching, I also work as an office manager in a nearby preschool. I enjoy sharing my passion for CrossFit with others and am thankful that it provides me an opportunity to learn and grow as an athlete and coach.

Lydia- Client Success Manager

Hey there! The elevator version of myself is that I am a Miami native, U.S. Navy Veteran that loves my family and am literally the girl next door. Unlike most coaches, I do not have a lifetime invested in sports growing up or even as an adult… unless you count playing outside till the lamp posts came on as a sport. That or JROTC color guard in high school.

Honestly, though… my passion lies in people. The regular folk. Looking to better themselves. I went from absolutely no Weightlifting experience to becoming a 2018 World’s Master competitor in Olympic Weightlifting. I love to push my boundaries as a female and aim to lead the way for my daughter and anyone else willing to put in the work! Don’t let the tatted – strong willed look stop you from coming over and introducing yourself. Let’s be friends!

Gene Richardson- Sport Performance

Hi folks!  My name is Gene, but all my young athletes tend to call me Coach Rich.  I play a unique role here at CFG, as I am not a CrossFit coach – I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and I coach the high school athletes who participate in our Sports Performance Training program.  In addition, I am also proud to be the coach for CFG’s barbell club and a personal trainer.

Growing up in Tampa, I loved being active with my friends and playing sports.  By high school (Robinson alum) I focused solely on my pitching career, and that turned into a baseball scholarship at Florida Southern College (c/o ’99) and being drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 1996.  Despite being a former single-sport athlete, I love watching other sports, and with a M.S. in Applied Exercise Science it has become a hobby of mine to read the latest science on enhancing sports performance.  My wife and I stay active and fit through traditional resistance training and weightlifting, and my friends and I (go Blue Barracudas!) are 3-peat champions of Field Day organized by Tampa Bay Club Sport.

Most of my adult life has been spent teaching high school history, but all of that started to change in 2016, when I kickstarted a strength and conditioning program at Tampa Catholic High School.  It has been a great experience helping a wide range of athletes achieve their fitness goals, and I decided that coaching and personal training fulltime was something I had a passion for.  I am so happy to be coaching at CFG and I hope you feel as welcomed as I have felt since arriving!  Also—shameless plug—consider giving barbell club a month or two just to brush up on your weightlifting technique and make those WODs more productive—your joints may thank you later 😊

Certifications/Qualifications:

  • Master of Science—Applied Exercise Science (strength & conditioning concentration)
  • National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)—Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
  • National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) – Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES)
  • American Council on Exercise (ACE)—Certified Personal Trainer (CPT)
    • Sports conditioning (specialty certification)
    • The Biomechanics Method of Corrective Exercise (specialty certification)
  • USAW Level 1 Coach
  • CPR-AED

Areas of Expertise/Interest

  • Annual Training Plan/Programs for Sports
  • Strength and Conditioning Coach for High School Athletes (3 years)
  • Olympic Weightlifting
  • Corrective Exercise
  • Sports Nutrition
  • Baseball (4 years high school level, 4 years college level)

Jill Ritenauer- Coach

Hey guys I am Jill Ritenauer and I am one of the proud coaches here at CrossFit for Glory.    From the time I can remember I’ve been around fitness and sports.  My mom had my brothers and I in the gym every night as kids, and as I got older I developed my own passion for sports. I was a decent high school athlete, playing softball, volleyball, running cross country and was part of the swim team.  After high school I joined the Air Force and my competitive sport playing days were pretty much finished. As most people know, it’s tough to be involved in high level sports after highschool so I started doing what my mom always did.

I went to aerobics during the week, played on a couple non-competitive softball and volleyball teams and although I enjoyed it, I missed the drive to compete.  During my 8 years of service with the Airforce, I was a Physical Training Leader (PTL) and it was then that I realized my passion to help others. I knew that this was a gift I had been blessed with.   I got my first official group fitness certification and I started teaching spin, then taught everything from HIIT classes to Pilates and TRX classes.

How did you get into CrossFit?

While still stationed at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, I kept hearing all this talk about CrossFit. I had never heard of it but thought “sure I’ll give it a try”….I was sore for what seemed like weeks but was hooked within days!  I knew immediately this was something I would love to do and pursue, therefore I got my CrossFit Level 1 training certification in the fall of 2009.

My husband got transferred to MacDill AFB in the fall of 2010 and one of the first things we did when we moved, was find a CrossFit gym.  Over the last 9 years we have attended many gyms from big box gyms, small group studio gyms, and have attended several other local CrossFit affiliates. We always come back to CrossFit… it is my “true fitness love”.  I’ve competed in several local competitions and have found that CrossFit has changed my life in so many positive ways. In 2016, I started Jill’s Mobile Fitness so I could share CrossFit style and Bootcamp workouts with people in my area. In 2019 I joined the CrossFit for Glory team as group fitness coach and love that I get to help others through fitness everyday.  I’m excited to continue this journey as a coach here at CFG…and to help and encourage others on the way!

I’ll leave you with…Remember if you think you’re good…you can be better, if you think you’re great… you can be greater!!  Always strive to be the best YOU possible…with CrossFit there are no limits to your GREATNESS!!
